Just for Students
Welcome Students of Homeopathy!
... a message from your Editor, Richard Pitt
I am writing to invite your participation in a unique dialog – a forum if you will – in which homepathic thinkers from around the world come together in thought-provoking discussion and debate. I am referring to the online journal, The California Homeopath.
Homeopathy, at once a subtle and profound art and science, requires an inquiring mind. As a student of homeopathy, it is important that you nurture your growing knowledge and awareness through reading and digesting in-depth articles on homeopathic theory and practice. This process introduces you to ideas that will assist in the evolution of your thinking, while simultaneously contributing to the ongoing dialog that is shaping our definition as homeopaths.
Our journal is committed to just this goal. Originally founded in 1882 in San Francisco, California by Drs. William Boericke and W.A. Dewey, The California Homeopath was reformulated 6 years ago and is now a biannual online journal, where you will find articles on all aspects of homeopathic thought: case studies, provings, book reviews, homeopathic methodologies, education, proving methodology and much, much more.

The journal is seeks to create a unique voice in homeopathy, one which simultaneously looks inward into the foundations of who we are as homeopaths, while at the same time looking outward to the larger world of scientific, artistic and philosophical thought. By exploring the identity of homeopathy, the profession can establish a clear idea of where we may be going in the future, enabling us to traverse the challenges we face on many levels and helping the evolution of our unique art and science.
We sincerely hope you will join The California Homeopath and become part of this journey. You’ll find articles on many subjects, written by some of the most experienced homeopathic practitioners and writers, both modern and historical. Contribute your own articles, join the community and benefit from being connected to other homeopaths throughout the world!
Below you will find listed just a few of the articles I’d suggest to you as a starting point for your exploration – by reading these in their entirety you’ll get a good idea of the quality of the material we’re presenting.
We look forward to your participation!
Yours Sincerely,
Richard Pitt, Editor
